SUMMARY:Grandparenting in a Pandemic: A Conversation for Grandparents in Interfaith Families - Online
DESCRIPTION:\nLong-distance grandparenting has always been a challenge. Coronavirus has made it a whole lot harder – even for grandparents who live down the block. Add to this the complexity of being a grandparent in an intra- or interfaith family. But there are also some new opportunities to connect even more deeply – if we take advantage of them. For some of us\, this might be a great opportunity to tell holiday stories to our entertainment-starved grandkids. For others\, this is a time to really set aside differences and build trust with our family and in-laws. \nJoin us for a conversation with Dr. Ruth Nemzoff to swap ideas of how\, as she says\, “to be a creative grandparent/grand-friend using old and new technologies and all the skills you’ve ever learned in life.” \nWe will be holding two sessions (same discussion occurring twice – one on April 17 and one on April 23). \n\nRegister here for April 17 at 1:00 pm EST\n\nRegister here for April 23 at 7:00 pm EST \nDr. Ruth Nemzoff is an 18Doors Board member and the author of Don’t Bite Your Tongue: How to Foster Rewarding Relationships with Your Adult Children and of Don’t Roll Your Eyes: Making In-Laws Into Family. She is a resident scholar at Brandeis Women’s Studies Research Center and former Assistant Minority Leader\, New Hampshire House of Representatives \nCo-sponstored by Jewish Grandparents Network \n\n\n\n
